8M MANIFESTO FOR EQUALITY

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia -UFEC- wants to reaffirm the firm will of the organization in the fight against discrimination against women and for the achievement of a society committed to gender equality and equal opportunities.

From the UFEC, we encourage all women in sport, managers, coaches, referees, athletes or volunteers, to continue assuming the commitment to lead a sports organization, club or federation.

This 2024 we claim again the 8M highlighting the work done from the UFEC to fight against discrimination against women and achieve full equality.

This is the case, for example, of the launch of a new edition of the Women Executive Sports Education (WESE), a postgraduate course that aims to empower women managers in the world of sport to develop their personal leadership and managerial role, creating a real network of female power! And so is GAP Women, a European project led by UFEC with the aim of eliminating the gender gap in sport and promoting inclusive and sustainable sport.

From the UFEC we will continue working to:

- Make our sector even more valuable.

- Increase female participation in sport.

- Continue to take steps towards equality.

- To continue fighting to change things.

- To continue betting on sport as an essential catalyst for women's empowerment and leadership in decision making.

Just as sport is a powerful tool for the transformation of society, equality is not a privilege, it is a basic and inalienable right that we must defend together. Thanks to all of you who fight for our rights. We will never give up. For a race without obstacles.
