Francisco

"If it were not for INSERsport, I would be over there just hanging around"

Francisco is 17 years old. He has been in centers run by the DGAIA (Directorate General for Child and Adolescent Services) since he was 11 years old. He went through a difficult period when he dropped out of high school and started hanging out with a “bad crowd,” as he puts it. He has now resumed his studies and is about to complete the INSERsport program. In a few weeks, he will be a table assistant referee.

His progress in the program has been rewarding, especially for him.

Josep Maria Hernández, Director of the Residential Center where Francisco lives, and Xènia Esteve, coach of INSERsport’s basketball group, talk to us about Francisco’s progress in the INSERsport program.
